Sophie Turner is excited about the upcoming release of X-Men: Dark Phoenix as she takes to Instagram to reveal her new tattoo.
“Phoenix-ing out,” the actress posted along with a photo of her hand with the fire tattoo.
Sophie Turner returns from X-Men: Age of Apocalypse as Jean Grey where she is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once Jean returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.
Sophie Turner also returns for the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones which airs in April. She also sports a tattoo for the show for the House of Stark.
“It’s the dire wolf from Game of Thrones, and it says the pack survives,” Turner says, but offers it’s not a spoiler. “It’s just a quote from last season, but everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral that I like to live by.”
X-Men: Dark Phoenix has a June 7, 2019 release directed by Simon Kinberg also starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters and Jessica Chastain.
