Black Panther Coming To Netflix

Black Panther Comes To Netflix In September

Fans of Marvel will be in for a real treat next month as Black Panther makes its way on to Netflix.

It’s confirmed that Black Panther will debut on Netflix in the United States and Canada on Tuesday, September 4.

Netflix also currently has Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Doctor Strange available.

Regarding the future of the Marvel movies on Netflix, the Disney deal looks to end with the release of Captain Marvel, as Disney is currently developing their own streaming app.  The good news if you are a Netflix subscriber is that it appears The Avengers: Infinity War will be made available, possibly later this year.

Black Panther finished with over one billion dollars at the box office, coming in at a whopping $1.346 billion worldwide, with a domestic haul of over $700 million, which is even currently beating Infinty War‘s U.S. gross of $678.5 million.

Marvel and Kevin Feige have also already confirmed a Black Panther sequel is in development.

“We absolutely will do that,” Kevin Feige said back in March. “One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two,. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, LupitaNyong’o, Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
