Ahead of next week’s Aquaman Comic-Con trailer, WB has released a new image, which offers a look at the exotic Fisherman King.
The scene is described as: King Orm has gone to the Fisherman King (played by Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Djimon Hounsou, who also has recently been cast in Shazam!) to enlist his help to declare war on the ocean-polluting surface world. There’s also the Fisherman Queen (Natalia Safran) and Princess (Sophia Forrest) on the left, and a royal guard on the right.
“After the fall of Atlantis, some of the kingdoms evolved and some devolved,” producer Peter Safran told EW.com. “This is one that evolved. This is a kingdom that’s primarily artistic and cerebral, with poets and philosophers.”
The Aquaman Comic-Con trailer is expected to be released on Saturday, July 21 during the DC films panel.
Aquaman has a December 21, 2018 release starring Jason Momoa as the titular character, Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm the Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman is playing Queen Atlanna, and Dolph Ludgren is King Nereus.
