A GI Joe spinoff movie for Snake Eyes is currently in development.
Paramount has Evan Spiliotopoulos, the writer of Beauty and the Beast, The Huntsman: Winter’s War and Hercules, in talks to write the script.
Paramount and Hasbro have been wanting to reboot the GI Joe franchise for some time and have put together a writers room to come up with new ideas.
Snake Eyes is one of the most popular characters of the GI Joe franchise. The silent and deadly ninja is dressed in black and has Storm Shadow, the white Cobra ninja, as his sworn enemy.
Ray Park, also known for Darth Maul and Toad, most recently played Snake Eyes in the two movies, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013).
