The new IT movie debuts this week, and it looks to be a good one as its Rotten Tomatoes score is through the roof!
With 49 reviews currently counted, the IT movie stands at a present 96% “Fresh” rating at Rotten Tomatoes, with only 2 negative reviews.
Update 9/7/17 2:38am EST: IT now has a 90% Fresh rating with 87 total reviews that are 78 postive and 9 negative.
Update #2: 9/7/17 12:44pm EST: IT now stands at 89% with 93 Fresh reviews to 12 Rotten.
Update #3: IT is back up to 90% with 149 Fresh and 16 Rotten.
Hollywood is expecting big things from the IT movie as Summer box office sales are down 15%, and last weekend was the worst weekend in 16 years.
The IT movie is being estimated to have a $60-70 million opening this weekend, which kicks off tomorrow night with advance Thursday night screenings.
It is directed by Andrés Muschietti starring Bill Skarsgard as Pennwise the Clown, Finn Wolfhard, Owen Teague, Jaeden Lieberher, Nicholas Hamilton, Steven Williams, Megan Charpentier, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Stephen Bogaert, Ari Cohen, Jack Grazer, Chosen Jacobs and Javier Botet.
Synopsis:
