Superman: Red Son Trailer Introduces Russian Man of Steel

What if baby Kal-El landed in the Soviet Union instead of Smallville, Kansas? That’s what the Superman: Red Son animated movie and comic of the same name explores.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the Superman: Red Son trailer, with the flick getting released early 2020.

The film is adapting the DC Comics “Elseworlds” graphic novel created by Mark Millar and Dave Johnson and published in 2003, which sees baby Kal-El land in the 50’s Soviet Union instead of the Kent Farm in Smallville, Kansas in the United States where he goes on to become the Superman of the U.S.S.R. The graphic novel also sees Batman team with Lex Luthor and the KGB as they capture Wonder Woman in an attempt to use her as bait for Superman.

The voice cast includes Jason Isaacs as the voice of Superman, Roger Craig Smith as Batman, Diedrich Bader voices Lex Luthor, Amy Acker voices Lois Lane, Vanessa Marshall voices Wonder Woman, Phil Morris voices James Olsen, with Paul Williams as Brainiac, Roger Craig Smith as Batman, Sasha Roiz as Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern John Stewart, William Salyers as Stalin, Jim Meskimen as JFK, Travis Willingham as Superior Man, and Winter Ave Zoli as Svetlana.
