Ant-Man Passes Captain America: The First Avenger At Box Office

Ant-Man Passes Captain America: The First Avenger At Box Office

Good news for fans of Ant-Man (and possibly a potential sequel) as the Ant-Man movie has just passed Captain America: The First Avenger at the box office both here in the U.S. and worldwide.

As it stands, Ant-Man has netted $177,586,846 domestically and $223,800,000 internationally giving it a current worldwide total of $401,386,846.

Captain America: The First Avenger, which spawned the popular Winter Soldier sequel, had a $176,654,505 draw in the U.S., with another $193,915,269 coming from foreign audiences for a grand total of $370,569,774.

We’re guessing Marvel has to consider this good news considering how unknown of a character Ant-Man is, especially compared to Cap.

A sequel for Ant-Man has yet to be announced, but Paul Rudd will be appearing in next May’s Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige also let it be known there are big plans for Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp.
