MCU Red Hulk Already Canceled Says Harrison Ford

The MCU’s Red Hulk looks to be a one-and-done — that’s according to Harrison Ford, who played the big red machine in Captain America: Brave New World.

If that is indeed the case, that means there are no future plans to use the Red Hulk in the MCU, including in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.

What did Harrison Ford say?

When asked by Variety if Kevin Feige has convinced him to come back to Marvel again, Ford simply replied, “Nope.”

Ford’s reply follows Captain America: Brave New World bombing at the box office, something Disney confirmed and named in its investor report as a loss.

What did Kevin Feige say?

Feige also said in a recent roundtable press interview that fans didn’t go see Brave New World because it features a Captain America who is not Chris Evans.

“It was the first without Chris Evans,”  Feige admitted.

Brave New World bombed

Captain America: Brave New World only brought in $415M on a reported budget said to be $180M; however, it’s claimed the budget is actually a lot higher due to all the reshoots.

The critics also slammed it with a 46% Rotten Tomatoes Score, and the Audience Score is low for a superhero flick at 76%.

What’s next for Captain America in the MCU?

Anthony Mackie is confirmed to be returning for Avengers: Doomsday.

Rumors offer Chris Evans is also returning, but it’s not known if he will be returning as Captain America Steve Rogers or some sort of Variant, similar to Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Doom.

What’s next for the Hulk?

Last we saw of the Red Hulk was that he was locked up at The Raft. So, per Harrison Ford, it seems as if Red Hulk will be stuck that way.

Regarding the Mark Ruffalo version, rumors offer the Hulk will return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but not as the goofy Ruffalo Hulk, as none other than the Savage Hulk.
