Lionsgate has released The Long Walk trailer, giving fans a look at the movie adaptation of Stephen King’s first-written novel, a dystopian horror thriller.
Directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games series), the film centers on a brutal contest where 100 boys must keep walking—literally—or die. Only one will make it.
Premise: Walk or Die
In The Long Walk, the rules are simple but deadly. If a contestant drops below three miles per hour, they get a warning. Three warnings and they’re shot. The walk continues until only one boy remains. The trailer, watch below, shows glimpses of the emotional toll, physical exhaustion, and psychological breakdowns the walkers endure.

Trailer Highlights
The trailer introduces the lead, Ray Garraty (Cooper Hoffman), and several other contestants, including Peter McVries (David Jonsson) and Hank Olson (Garrett Wareing). There’s tension, fear, and even moments of humor. But the tone quickly darkens as warnings are handed out, one by one. The Major (Mark Hamill) lays it out bluntly: “Walk until there’s only one of you left. Who’s ready to win?!”
