Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani wants to see Marvel do more with Ironheart, and she also sounds more interested in Champions than Young Avengers.
Appearing on the Revenge Of YouTube channel, Vellani talked about her love for Riri Williams, saying Ironheart was one of the characters who first got her into Ms. Marvel comics.
Vellani also weighed in on the long-rumored younger Marvel team in the MCU, saying she personally prefers Champions over Young Avengers.

Iman Vellani Says Ironheart Helped Get Her Into Ms. Marvel
Vellani made it clear she is a big Ironheart fan.
While discussing Marvel characters she wants to see more of, Vellani said Riri Williams was tied to how she first became interested in Ms. Marvel comics.
“[Ironheart] got me into Ms. Marvel,” Vellani said. “I love Ironheart. I think she’s so underused even in comics.”
The future of Ironheart in the MCU is still unclear. Marvel hasn’t announced a Season 2, and Riri Williams has not been confirmed for a major upcoming team-up movie.

Vellani Is More Of A Champions Fan Than Young Avengers
Vellani also brought up Champions, the younger diverse Marvel team from the comics that has included characters such as Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales Spider-Man, Nova, Amadeus Cho, Viv Vision, and Ironheart.
“I will say I’m personally more of a Champions fan than Young Avengers,” Vellani said. “I think those storylines are way more relevant.”
She then joked about the long wait for Marvel Studios to actually make the team happen.
“None of us are going to be young by the time they get around,” she said.
For years, rumors claimed Marvel was developing a Young Avengers project. However, the longer Marvel waits, the harder it gets to sell the cast as “young.”
Young Avengers has been rumored for the MCU for a long time. However, after it was pointed out by yours truly that the actors would be too old by the time Marvel got around to making it, rumors literally shifted the next day and claimed the project could become Champions instead.

Where Will Ms. Marvel Show Up Next?
Vellani wouldn’t say where Ms. Marvel will appear next in the MCU.
However, Andy Serkis seemingly let something slip during a recent interview when he told Vellani he was excited to see her in Avengers: Doomsday.
Vellani reacted by saying, “No, you can’t say that!” Her name was not part of Marvel’s big Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement, so nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
If Serkis did accidentally reveal it, Ms. Marvel could be headed for her biggest MCU appearance yet.
Vellani also said she visited the set of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 (a season 1 episode features Kamala’s father).
