We just heard from new Superman Henry Cavill who stated he was open to a Justice League movie though was unaware of any official talks.
Now Zack Snyder is asked about the Justice League movie as well.
The Collider flat out asks Snyder if he was offered Justice League or a Man of Steel sequel, which would he go with.
Look … completely hypothetically, I feel like you need … to get Superman a little further down the road, I think, before you can do a Justice League movie.
It’s then remarked to Snyder that Justice League is targeted for 2015, with Snyder suggesting he really doesn’t know who would be saying that.
Yeah, I don’t know who “they” are.
That answer could suggest Snyder is playing coy as the studio actually gave the Justice League a 2015 hopeful release date.
It’s then suggested that Snyder could see himself doing a Man of Steel sequel before Justice League, with Snyder responding as follows.
I don’t know. All I’m saying is that you’ve got to get Superman further down the road.
While we don’t get anything real specific from the director, it seems as if we will get answers at this Summer’s at Comic-Con as Geoff Johns stated announcements across the board would be forthcoming.
This could also suggest the reason why Zack Snyder might not be on as director if the Justice League movie is a go following Man of Steel as his vision may be different than the studio’s.
Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.
