Zack Snyder’s Justice League Introduction Was Supposed To Be Much Different (Exclusive)

The Justice League was never supposed to arrive as email attachments.

But that is how Warner Bros. introduced half the team in Batman v Superman, and according to insiders I spoke with at Comic-Con, it was not Zack Snyder’s original plan.

Snyder Had A Different Justice League Introduction

I was told at Comic-Con that Snyder originally planned to introduce the Justice League much differently than the cameos dropped into Batman v Superman.

No further details were offered about what that plan looked like.

Only that the version audiences got was not the version Snyder had in mind.

Batman Vs Superman Justice League Cameos

The Justice League Arrived On A Laptop

You know the scene.

Wonder Woman opens Lex Luthor’s metahuman files and finds the future Justice League waiting inside.

Flash stops a convenience store robbery. Aquaman surfaces for a camera. Cyborg appears in lab footage.

They even had custom logos.

The scene was years of world-building crushed into a laptop screen.

Even people who will defend Batman v Superman all day, especially the Ultimate Edition, can recognize what happened: Warner Bros. hit the fast-forward button.

Warner Bros. Wanted Its Avengers Immediately

The insider claim lines up with what has been known for years.

Snyder was pushed onto the Justice League track by Warner Bros. executives desperate to answer Marvel’s Avengers.

Marvel spent five solo movies building toward its team-up. Warner Bros. tried to skip the build and jump straight to the payoff.

The Man of Steel sequel became Dawn of Justice, and Justice League was planned to be shot back-to-back.

The entire universe was ordered to stand up at once.

Those file cameos were not some inspired piece of storytelling. They were the studio mandate made visible.

What the insider account adds is that Snyder had another way into the Justice League before Warner Bros. forced the issue.

Whatever that plan was, audiences never got to see it.

Snyder Still Wants To Finish The Story

Snyder lost the introduction he wanted, and his Justice League never got its ending either.

That unfinished story is now back at the center of the conversation.

Snyder spent Saturday night on stage with Frank Miller answering a “we want Justice League 2” chant with a jab at the studio. He also said a Dark Knight Returns movie happens “when they let us.”

As CBN exclusively reported, Snyder is gung ho about finishing his Justice League arc once the Paramount deal closes.

The same insiders also say Christopher Nolan chose Snyder to take over DC in the first place.

Warner Bros. took Snyder’s introduction away from him.

The ending may still be his to finish.
