As Zack Snyder announced the Man of Steel sequel with Superman/Batman at Comic-Con, Harry Lennix read a quote from The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel which featured the Caped Crusader and the Last Son Of Krypton.
While Snyder said the movie isn’t being based on the graphic novel, now it is being reported that Zack Snyder has brought the creator of The Dark Knight Returns comic book on board Superman/Batman in what sounds like an advisory role with Frank Miller.
The UK’s Independent reports that a source close to Miller told them about the meeting:
Frank had no idea the announcement in San Diego was going to happen so it did come as a surprise. He’s going to be meeting up with Zach in the next few days to go over the plans for the Superman film so things should be clearer after that.
Zack Snyder also adapted the Frank Miller graphic novel 300, with the sequel produced by Snyder coming out soon.
Superman/Batman, the sequel to Man of Steel, goes into production next year for a 2015 release starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane with a new Batman to be cast.
