Young Justice Season 3 is really happening!
Voice actor Khary Payton has tweeted out that he has begun his voice over work for Young Justice Season 3.

Khary Payton is known for voicing Aqualad and Black Manta in the Young Justice series, which has seen renewed interest thanks to the first two seasons being available on Netflix and huge support from fans on social media and Young Justice creator Greg Weisman.
Last November saw Warner Bros. Animation officially announce that production on Young Justice Season 3 had begun.
Young Justice Season 3 is described as promising new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.
Further details about the new season of Young Justice — including premiere date and network partner — will be announced at a later time.

Regarding why Young Justice was initially cancelled, it actually had to do with the failure of the Green Lantern movie!
