The Wolverine (2013): Svetlana Khodchenkova Wanted As The Viper

With Jessica Biel out as The Viper in Hugh Jackman’s The Wolverine, we were expecting a quick announcement for the replacement as the movie is to start shooting next month.

And we get just that with it being reported by TwitchFilm that Svetlana Khodchenkova is currently in talks to play the role of The Viper.

Svetlana Khodchenkova is a 29-year-old Russian native who was seen in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Regarding The Viper, as a previous CBN reader mentioned, Marvel Studios would have the rights to Hydra (Captain America: The First Avenger), so any connection as Madame Hydra would most likely not be mentioned. 

The Wolverine has a July 26th, 2013 release date, is being directed by James Mangold, stars Hugh Jackman, with Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback on a script adapted from Frank Miller and Christopher Claremont’s comic arc from 1982.
