Tonight saw the mid-season 2 finale of Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. air which revealed the identity of Skye and more.
Just as we guessed last March, Skye is revealed to be an Inhuman, and her name is revealed to be “Daisy” — as in the Marvel comics character, Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, who has seismic powers. Skye’s father is also revealed to be the Marvel Comics character Mr. Hyde.
In the Marvel Comics, Daisy Johnson first appeared in Secret War #2 created by Bendis and Gabriele Dell’Otto.
The episode saw Skye and Raina exposed to the MCU version of the Terrigen Mists; Skye and Raina are enveloped by the black stone/ash along with SHIELD Agent Triplett, who happens to be a regular human.
Raina is first revealed where it appears the Terrigen Mists have also transformed her physically as she has what looks to be spikes protruding from her skin.
Skye’s powers are then revealed as we see what looks to be her seismic powers unleashed as she looks upon Agent Triplett who crumbles to dust.

The episode then shifts gears to reveal another obelisk piece with a blind Inhuman stating to “contact the others as there are more of us.”
The identity of the new Inhuman is unknown, but it could be a new character in the Marvel Comics named Reader (below). Or another possibility could be Videmus, a blind Inhuman who can see the thoughts and memories of others.
Marvel also announced an Inhumans movie for November 2, 2018, which obviously sees its roots here.
