Rainn Wilson also makes an appearance to announce he is playing the evil Gargamel, and Mandy Patinkin is voicing Papa Smurf.
Get Smurfy sees the franchise return to its roots as it’s a complete animated movie, which has a March 31, 2017 release.
“With a fully animated feature close in tone and design to Peyo’s original creation, we’re embracing everything that has made the Smurfs so special for audiences worldwide,” Rory Bruer, Sony Pictures president of worldwide distribution, said in a statement previously released.
Kelly Asbury, known for Shrek 2, is on board as director.
