It’s being reported that Claire Holt, known for The Vampire Diaries, is in contention to play Supergirl in the upcoming CBS series.

The Wrap reports they have been told Holt is among those testing for the lead role in Supergirl.

The new Supergirl TV series is said to be a one-hour drama that sees 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, forced to use her super powers in public during an unexpected disaster.
