Turki Alalshikh Reveals Favorite Movies: Batman Tops the List Amid SnyderVerse Return

Turki Alalshikh Reveals Favorite Movies: Batman Tops the List Amid SnyderVerse Return

Turki Alalshikh, the Saudi entertainment boss who we have been told is at the center of the SnyderVerse return surrounding the Paramount deal, took to Instagram on Thursday to answer fan questions, where he revealed his favorite movies of all time, and wouldn’t you know it, Batman tops the list.

Asked, “What is your favorite movie of all time?” Alalshikh said there are too many to name, but he led off with Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

“A lot of movies. A lot. The series, actually… Christopher Nolan and Batman. I like Inception. I like some of Ridley Scott’s movies. I like Scorsese, some of his movies. I like The Godfather. A lot of movies.”

“I was asked my favorite movies. There are so many that I like!” Alalshikh captioned the video, which racked up over a thousand likes in its first couple of hours.

SnyderVerse fans show up in the comments

Worth a mention is that the SnyderVerse faithful made their presence known in the comments, as the RestoreZSJL fan account asked Alalshikh directly, “Do you like Zack Snyder’s Justice League and would you like to see the sequels?”

Another fan asked whether His Excellency would think about investing in a future Christopher Nolan movie, which happens to follow word that both Snyder and Nolan could be part of the Saudi plans.

Turki Alalshikh and Zack Snyder

As we’ve been covering, Alalshikh happens to be friends with Zack Snyder, and insiders have filled us in that the Saudis are supposed to team with Snyder to bring back the SnyderVerse, as they are backing and investing in Paramount.

We’ve also been told the Saudis want to build a DC vs. Marvel rivalry with Snyder involved, complete with talk of a Marvel rival event in Saudi Arabia.

Alalshikh is no stranger to the comic book world, either, as his The Ring brand is behind a Dark Horse comic series from Gail Simone, which we have been told was on the recommendation of Snyder.

Alalshikh is also backing the UFC movie, Brawler, to be directed by Snyder.

Frank Miller and Zack Snyder

“When they let us”

Snyder, for his part, continues to tease his return, as he recently sat down with Frank Miller to talk The Dark Knight Returns, told fans an adaptation happens “when they let us,” and watched the crowd chant for Justice League 2 at his Storyteller Tour.

Our exclusive also fills us in that Snyder’s Dark Knight Returns and Justice League plans hinge on the Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery deal.

Everything waits on the Paramount deal

Regarding the deal, while Europe has approved the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger, stateside a judge has frozen things as the legal battle plays out, so the SnyderVerse plans remain in a holding pattern until everything closes. Stay tuned.
