After the news of Mark Wahlberg joining the cast of Michael Bay’s Transformers 4, we now get word that Bay and Paramount are screen testing for the supporting roles.
But’s that not all, as it is revealed that the actors will be signed on to a three-picture deal, meaning a total of three more Transformers movies.
THR gives us the scoop on Transformers 4 by giving us small details about the plot as well as the actors involved.
Transformers 4 has a story that centers on Wahlberg’s character and his daughter. In addition, the daughter’s boyfriend, a race car driver, is the third lead in the film.
It’s said that up for the role of Mark Wahlberg’s daughter are two actresses: Isabelle Cornish (Puberty Blues) and Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender).
For the daughter’s boyfriend, five actors are said to be testing: Luke Grimes (Brothers & Sisters, Taken 2); Landon Liboiron (Terra Nova), Brenton Thwaites (Blue Lagoon: The Awakening), Jack Reynor (Dollhouse), and Hunter Parrish (Weeds).
THR noted that the roles are considered to be career launchpads, high-profile roles, so no one is balking at the three-picture deal.
Transformers 4 starts shooting next spring and has a newly announced July 4, 2014 release date directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg.
