Top Comic Books For December 2012; Batman Takes 4 Spots

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:4997:]]Diamond has released their early sales figures with the list of the top ten comic books and graphic novels for December 2012.

In a no-brainer (get it?!), Dan Slott’s Amazing Spider-Man #700 takes #1; it is estimated that the book has sold around 300,000 copies.

Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers comes in at #2 followed by Scott Snyder’s Batman.

Speaking of Batman, all the DC Comics titles on the list are Batman related, with Justice League, Batman and Robin and Detective Comics making the list as well. The “Death of the Family” crossover in the Batman books is a sure success.

Last month saw only two DC Comics titles make the cut, but this month we see four.

For Graphic Novel sales we see Image Comics and The Walking Dead coming out on top, with Image taking 7 of the 10 spots. Not bad. Green Lantern also makes its way on to the list.
