Tom Hiddleston On Thor 2: Everybody In Space Has An Opinion On The Avengers

Tom Hiddleston is currently filming Thor 2, “The Dark World,” reprising as the diabolical trickster, Loki.

We previously head from Hiddleston talking whether or not he would join The Dark Side or The Force in Star Wars, and now Hiddleston talks about Thor 2 with Digital Spy.

Tom Hiddleston doesn’t want to give away any Thor 2 spoilers, but does offer that the events of Thor 2 take off directly from what happened at the end of The Avengers movie.

We see that Hiddleston mentions “everybody up stairs in space is going to have an opinion,” with mention of the various Asgardians, but perhaps he is also referring to the other denizens of the galaxy and that they have noticed the Earth, as Iron Man shoved a nuclear bomb up the you-know-what of the Chitauri. We can surmise that no longer will “everybody upstairs in space” view Earth as a species of “primates,” but — possibly as a threat. And maybe this even plays into the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Here’s what Tom Hiddleston had to say:

Our springboard for the second Thor film has been to ask the question at the end of Avengers when Thor and Loki are kind of beamed up back to Asgard through some kind of link in the bifrost chain, everybody upstairs in space is going to have an opinion on what happened over the course of Avengers.

Thor and Loki were gone from Asgard for a time and to all intents and purposes hell broke loose and they were both responsible, although Loki was primarily responsible.

But Odin is going to have an opinion on that and Frigga is going to have an opinion on that, and Sif and the Warriors Three.

And also, Jane Foster wasn’t there, she was like siphoned off to a kind of bogus assignment.

So that’s where it all starts, all the characters are slightly evolved from the end of that film.
