Tom Hiddleston filled us in on some of his comings and goings over at FT.com in the form of a “Diary” article.
Among other things, the actor commented on playing the villain, Loki, in the Kenneth Branagh directed Thor movie.
Hiddleston stated that he is proud to carry on the tradition of “British Baddies” in playing Loki.
He went on to state that the movie sees Thor cast out of Asgard trying to find his way home – with Loki trying his best to stop him.
Hiddleston hopes the movie will be fun and called the film, “an explosion of brilliant, bright-coloured thunder and lightning, with stormy family dynamics at its centre.”
In related news, it is rumored that Hiddleston will be the main villain in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, with a certain appearance by a well-known species of aliens from Marvel comics.
Thor hammers into theaters May 6th starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Ray Stevenson as Volstagg, Clark Gregg as SHIELD agent Phil Coulson, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Kat Dennings as Darcy.
