With Alan Taylor currently filming Thor 2, “The Dark World,” we get word from Heimdall himself, Idris Elba, that new characters are going to be featured.
In the following video, Idris Elba remarks that Thor 2 is brilliant and how they have a “great set of new characters coming in.”
Most likley Idris Elba is referring to the actors portraying the new slate of villains with fellow Brit Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed.
We also know that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be playing Kurse as well as the official synopsis (below) mentions a shadowy villain seemingly behind the scenes.
Zachary Levi is also new to Thor 2 as Fandral.
There’s also rumor of Doctor Strange appearing in Thor 2, could Idris Elba be referring to that?
Thor 2: The Dark World hammers into theaters November 8th, 2013 directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Idris Elba as Heimidall, Zachary Levi as Fandral and Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurse.
