Thor 2: First Look At New Villain – Surtur?!

[page_title]

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:4130:]]Alan Taylor has been filming Thor 2, “The Dark World,” in London where tons of set images and video have been revealed.

We’ve seen Chris Hemsworth as Thor as well as a first look at Christopher Eccleston as Malekith The Accursed.

Now we get what looks to be a new villain.

Below you can check out the image, which seems to resemble the fire demon Surtur from the Marvel Comics (right).

The scene described by HollywoodNews.com suggests that this being was more of a leader — has Surtur risen out of the depths of the Earth (where he was imprisoned by Odin in the comics) to command the army of the Dark Elves?

Interestingly enough, previous set images seemed to reveal as if something had come from out of the ground, and in addition, Christopher Eccleston was seen as if he was summoning something.

It could also very well be Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurse.
