Metallo Rumored To Be Main Villain For Batman Vs. Superman: And No Lex Luthor?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12520:]]

With today’s earlier announcement that Zack Snyder has cast Gal Gidot as Wonder Woman, a rumor surfaced that Callan Mulvey is being looked at as the villain for Batman Vs. Superman.

Now a new rumor suggests that Callan Mulvey may be actually playing Metallo in the film with it said the actor was also a contender for Lex Luthor.

ThinkMcFlyThink came up with the info and even speculated it could mean that Lex Luthor has been written out of Batman Vs. Superman.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12521:]]Of course it’s also possible WB just got another actor for Lex Luthor and Callan Mulvey may be cast as Metallo.

Any chance Warner Bros. is really waiting on Bryan Cranston for Luthor? Or is this all more smoke and mirrors?

When I was told that Cranston had changed his mind about Lex Luthor, I was also told he decided to stop with the villain roles and signed on a two year deal or so for Broadway plays. Maybe Cranston will be back for Lex with the next flick? Maybe a more Superman oriented movie that most fans seem to wish was happening following Man of Steel. Or maybe even for Justice League.

“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

Ben Affleck Talks About The Batsuit & Zack Snyder In Batman Vs. Superman

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12479:]]

As we get closer to the start of filming for Batman Vs. Superman we see more information is beginning to trickle out from the actors involved.

Henry Cavill just remarked on his thoughts on Ben Affleck as Batman, and now Affleck talks about working with director Zack Snyder.

Long time friend of Affleck’s, Kevin Smith, recently teased the Batsuit in the movie. Entertainment Weekly caught up with Ben Affleck to ask him about that with the actor talking about Zack Snyder’s involvement.

Well, I don’t want to get too far afield and I’m sure I’ll have time to talk about Batman down the road. What I’ll say is that I really like Zack. From what I’ve seen of what’s Zack is doing, it’s made me very excited. One of the nice things about being an actor in that movie is they show you all the stuff before anyone else gets to see it. So all the sort of world-creation, and the take on the character and the other characters is really exciting. And at the end of the day, the truth is it’s really directors that make movies work or not — especially these kinds of movies, where it’s about the whole world, and a rising tide lifts all ships. And if it all has integrity, if it all has a sense of realism, then it works. And if it doesn’t, than it doesn’t really matter what everyone’s doing [on the screen] because they just look like a bunch of Mexican wrestlers in suits.

Smith previously let it be known that the Batsuit in Batman Vs. Superman will get away from the black armor look.

Our own DC Entertainment source provided us with news that the Batsuit could be black and gray.

“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 release also starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

It’s said the crew for Batman Vs. Superman will film during halftime of the Husky football game recording crowd reactions to three plays.

Now the uniforms for the scene have become known where we even see the Metropolis State University jersey sports a “52” (New 52).

So far there is no idea what the scene is about. Perhaps it’s a Superman fly by?
