[[wysiwyg_imageupload:17132:]]

Previously it’s been stated that the Marvel Daredevil series will be on the darker side, and now it’s learned the Netflix show will be violent and feature vulgarity as well.

Fans that may have been disappointed by ABC’s approach to Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. should be happy with Daredevil as showrunner Stephen DeKnight shared the following on Twitter:

As we see, a fan asked what Daredevil is allowed to show in regards to mature content, with DeKnight stating more than Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., but less than the mature cable series, Spartacus.

“Daredevil” will debut on Netflix next year with 13 episodes.

Synopsis:

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Starz “Spartacus” Coming To SyFy

It’s learned the popular Starz original series Spartacus is coming to SyFy as the network has acquired the basic cable rights to all 39 episodes.

Deadline has it that Spartacus will debut June 26th at 10PM, following original series Defiance and Dominion.

“Our strategy of acquiring hit shows to complement our premium original scripted series has really resonated with our audience,” said Chris Regina, SVP, Programming, Syfy. “With its action-soaked storylines and powerful characters, Spartacus will be a dynamic addition to our schedule.”

Plot:

Gaius Claudius Glaber is dead. Many months have passed since his defeat, and the rebel army, led by Spartacus and his generals Crixus, Gannicus and Agron, continue to amass victories over Rome. With the rebel numbers swelling to thousands of freed slaves, it has become a force that has started to challenge even the mighty armies of Rome.

Spartacus is more determined than ever to bring down the entire Roman Republic. Following the death of Ashur, Naevia and Crixus fight as one with newfound strength and determination. And Gannicus, always seeking to embrace life to the fullest, shares his bed with the beautiful and dangerous Saxa.

Together, the rebels engage in one bloody skirmish after another and prepare for the inevitable: a full out war with Rome.

The Roman Senate turns to its wealthiest citizen, Marcus Crassus, for aid. A powerful, strategic politician, he respects his opponent and refuses to make the same mistakes Glaber and his predecessors have. With a young and fiercely competitive Julius Caesar as an ally, Crassus is determined to crush Spartacus and his rebellion.

The epic conclusion of a legendary journey, Spartacus: War of the Damned will unleash a battle unlike anything ever seen before.

Spartacus Actor Liam McIntyre Wants To Play New Batman

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:9654:]]

With Zack Snyder officially announcing the Batman Superman movie yesterday at Comic-Con, expect the flood gates to open in regards to who wants to play the next Caped Crusader.

Warner Bros. also officially released a statement that they will be casting a new Batman (if they haven’t already done so), and that The Dark Knight Trilogy director Christopher Nolan will be on board as executive producer.

So up first for wanting to play the new Batman is Liam McIntyre, known for the Starz original series Spartacus.

Liam McIntyre tweeted that it would be a dream come true to play Batman.

“Oh my god. So there’s going to be a new Batman,” the actor tweeted. “It’s time to dream big. Always be Batman.”

McIntyre then goes on to mention that, similar to Henry Cavill, he’s a big fan of World of Warcraft as well.

“In the world in my head where I do get cast, my main concern for Zack Snyder is that Batman and Superman would be playing WoW all day,” McIntyre added.

For those not in the known, when Henry Cavill got the original call from Zack Snyder stating he won the Superman role, Cavill ignored the call because he was too busy playing World of Warcraft.

The new Batman Superman movie, a sequel to Man of Steel, begins production next year with a 2015 release.
