Zack Snyder Will Make Gal Gadot A Beast For Wonder Woman Says Amy Adams

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12713:]]The internet nearly exploded once again with the news that Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman (of course, the first being Ben Affleck as Batman).

Fanboys and girls online have taken to their various social networks to comment on the body of Gal Gadot, which is noticeably slender compared to the comic books as she happens to be an Israeli model and actress.

Fans tend to think of a muscular large-breasted character when Wonder Woman comes to mind.

Now Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, comments on the internet response. She tells MTV she didn’t think all that much about her own figure for Man of Steel, and offers that Zack Snyder will whip Gal Gadot into shape. Snyder used fitness expert Mark Twight to train Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, and Antje Traue.

I’m not familiar with her body shape. That’s interesting. I don’t know. I don’t buy into that.

Not that I believe it’s happening but, I’m certainly not a classically drawn woman as they exist in comic books, and so I had to embrace that. I just had a baby. I still hadn’t gotten my waste back. And you know what, I was like ‘Lois is not about proportions. Lois is about her intellect and her savvy reporting skills and her empathy for Clark,’ and so I just didn’t think about it.

I know anybody who is working with Zack, if she is working with Zack and she is going to be Wonder Woman, she is going to be yoked, man. He’s going to make her a beast.

Below you can check out some pics of Gal Gadot. To the upper right is Amy Adams in American Hustle looking pretty fine.

Exclusive: Batman Vs. Superman May Feature Epic Justice League Battle Against JL Villain

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12701:]]

With apparent changes in place for Batman Vs. Superman, I reached out to a trusted source at Warner Bros. for some new information.

Full disclosure: This source told me Bryan Cranston was cast as Lex Luthor and also said Cranston changed his mind. The source also told me it didn’t look like Mark Strong was going to be able to do the part, so it was “back to the drawing board.” Since then, a number of new Lex Luthor rumors hit the net with the latest being Joaquin Phoenix. The source also told me WB TV would be separate than the movie universe, which Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti recently implied.

I inquired about a possible change in direction for Batman Vs. Superman as I noted that Joaquin Phoenix is younger than what it seemed Warner Bros. was previously going for with Bryan Cranston and Mark Strong as Lex Luthor. I also mentioned that a new writer has been brought on board with Ben Affleck’s Oscar-award winning screenwriter on Argo, Chris Terrio.

I’m told that Warner Bros. was thinking of an unknown younger actor for the role of Lex Luthor, but looks to have passed on him. So the notion that DC is now looking for a younger actor is correct. (Update: It’s now known the script was changed to accomodate the use of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor).

I’m also told it looks as if they have chopped the idea of having a Batman villain in the movie, and it looks likely that three Superman villains will be featured with Luthor, Metallo and Brainiac (Update: The latest trailer revealed Doomsday to be one, and prodution designer Patrick Tatopulos hinted at further threats).

Previously, there was a report about Jason Momoa being in talks for a role in Batman Vs. Superman. I’m told the speculation about Martian Manhunter looks to be correct (Update: Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman; Martian Manhunter was recently revealed on Supergirl).

Regarding the use of what looks to be so many superheroes in the movie, I’m told there is a strong possibility that all the heroes that have been rumored will meet up in the last 20 minutes or so of Batman Vs. Superman in an epic battle with the Justice League movie villain – who will debut at that point without any PR fanfare (Update: Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman are confirmed to appear; Tatopulos hinted that surprises are coming).

“Batman Vs Superman” has a July 17, 2015 March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Gal Gadot.

Man Of Steel Tops Google For 2013; Beats Iron Man 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12665:]]

Google released data for its trending search terms for 2013, and in the Entertainment industry the Man of Steel came out on top followed by Iron Man 3.

Probably should be worth noting that Man of Steel picked up after the announcement of Batman Vs. Superman.

Making up the list of top ten search terms on Google for movies is:

Man Of Steel

Iron Man 3

World War Z

Jobs

The Conjuring

The Great Gatsby

Despicable Me 2

The Purge

Pacific Rim

Mama

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12666:]]

Iron Man 3
Despicable Me 2
Fast & Furious 6
Monsters University
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Man of Steel

Henry Cavill Talks Lex Luthor Coming Soon & Cyborg In A Movie? (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12480:]]

For fans of the DC Universe, the Man of Steel movie was chuck full of Easter Eggs ranging from Batman’s Wayne Enterprises to LexCorp. Some fans even think there was a reference to Aquaman, and then there was also mention of Star Labs and hints to Supergirl.

Speaking of Star Labs, in a new video featuring Henry Cavill, the actor mentions he would like to see Cyborg on the big screen as a bridge between humans and the superhumans that would be different than Batman.

Regarding Lex Luthor, while Cavill states he has no knowledge about the story to come, he thinks the Superman villain will be coming sooner than later.

Check out the video of Henry Cavill below for more.

Thor 2 Over $500 Million Worldwide: Just Shy Of Man of Steel Internationally

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12412:]]

Thor 2 continues to hammer home the big bucks as the movie starring the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston is now over $500 million worldwide.

In addition, Thor 2 is just shy of the Man of Steel‘s international box office gross of $371 million with $352 million of its own.

To date, Thor 2 has a total gross of $504,240,829 with $152,040,829 coming domestically.

Thor 2 has now surpassed the 2011 Thor movie, which garnered $449 million.

These numbers are good news for Thor 3 and Tom Hiddleston fans. While both Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige and Tom Hiddleston have stated no plans are in the works for a Loki movie, the success of Thor 2 can’t be ignored. In addition, Hiddleston has a strong following with petitions for a Loki movie reaching well over 20,000 signatures.

Kevin Feige did also state Thor 3 depends on the success of Thor 2, so a third film looks almost to be a given with these numbers being so solid.

Thor 2 On Track To Hammer Man of Steel At The Box Office?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12344:]]

An earlier tweet by Cosmic Book News EIC Matt McGloin read “Thor is the new Superman,” and now the numbers might be supporting that.

Box Office Mojo has put together some estimates, and while Thor 2 is running behind Man of Steel domestically at the box office, it is hammering Superman internationally.

The Motely Fool, an investment website and content partner for USA Today, estimates that Thor 2 will end up close to the Man of Steel‘s final numbers (see chart below).

They have it that Thor 2 could finish with around $660 million worldwide, with Man of Steel having $663 million (which is actually less than the $700 million Warner Bros. hoped for and why some believe Batman was added to the mix).

Currently, Thor 2 has netted $147 million domestically after being open for ten days.

The same time period saw Man of Steel at a whopping $249 million in the U.S.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12345:]]

What’s interesting about Man of Steel‘s numbers is that after ten days it only went on to make another $42 million ($291 total for U.S.), which possibly means the film had no staying power with some word-of-mouth reviews being so negative.

Fan thoughts on Thor 2, however, have been for the most part positive.

Another bonus for Thor 2 could be its staying power in movie theaters. For some reason, Man of Steel got yanked early – appearing only 98 days in theaters, which is actually less than the 2011 Thor movie. That 98 days for the Man of Steel is considerably less than any of The Dark Knight movies and is even less than Superman Returns. It’s possible if Thor 2‘s numbers remain steady, it could overtake Man of Steel at the box office as it simply will be shown more.

Another interesting number: The foreign total for Man of Steel is $371,800,000. Thor 2 is currently sitting at $332,800,000.

Thor 2 is currently at $479,765,000 worldwide, which looks good for the possibility of a Thor 3 or a Loki spinoff movie.

Proof Christopher Nolan Was More Involved Than We Thought In Man of Steel

I always loved how we would get comments from the Ant-Nolanites how Christopher Nolan had nothing to do with Man of Steel.

Christopher Nolan brought Zack Snyder onboard the movie and helped David Goyer with the story.

Well, it turns out his involvement didn’t end there.

The Man of Steel Blu-Ray has a behind-the-scenes featurette where we see director Zack Snyder with Christopher Nolan. And we also see Hans Zimmer. I guess we can gather that Nolan was somewhat involved in post-production.

Batman, Doomsday, Star Labs, Kandor Easter Eggs In Man of Steel Blu-Ray Extras

This week saw the release of the Man of Steel Blu-Ray that came packed with extra features.

Last night I sat down and watched them and found a few extra Easter Eggs that were part of the featurettes.

Doomsday can be seen in one image as the Kryptonian language was translated in a documentary. It became known that when the Scout ship first activated, it sent out a beacon which is how Zod discovered the Earth. Well, communications between the Scout ship and Black Zero never stopped as the ships continuously sent info back and forth, which the military was able to intercept. This is how mankind is able to know so much about Kryptonian technology and history. It was also revealed that the Scout ship looked more ornamental than “present day” Krypton and Zod’s ships because it was created at the height of Kryptonian civilization.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12296:]]

We also get another Batman Easter Egg in the form of a newspaper article. Wayne Enterprises stock is shown not to be affected by the Kryptonian invasion, so we can at least rule out  Bruce Wayne being ticked at Superman in the next movie as a result of a hit on his wallet.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12298:]]

We also see Star Labs was involved in researching the Kryptonians as the documentary was able to get its hands on classified information. Previously it was also revealed that LexCorp provided assistance as well.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12297:]]

If it wasn’t made clear in the movie, Kandor is also in the Man of Steel as it is Krypton’s capital city. I suppose we can rule out Braniac bottling it up. Kandor concept art:

Batman Vs. Superman Art To Debut With Man of Steel Kevin Smith QnA

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12186:]]

This Saturday will see a special Man of Steel QnA hosted by Kevin Smith featuring Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams in support of the Blu-Ray release.

It will take place on Yahoo and feature the panel answering fan questions sent in via video.

Now Kevin Smith has offered some more details about the Man of Steel fan event and offers a tease about new Batman Vs. Superman art (perhaps the official logo and title?).

Via Hollywood Babble-On:

They’re doing a special on Yahoo that I’m hosting, Zack Snyder is the featured guest, but it’s all about Man of Steel. So it’s me, Zack Snyder, Amy Adams, Henry Cavill is on video from London or he may even be on set with us, and then there’s some Michael Shannon stuff. So it’s an hour long, it’s free, it’s on the internet, but it’s just kind of to be like ‘Hey, Man of Steel is coming out!’ But there’s two things, there might be announcements during this show and the one thing I do know is there’s artwork going to be on this show that may or may not have something to do with a movie that’s coming up.

Speaking of the Man of Steel Blu-Ray, Amazon has dropped the price on the cool Collector’s Edition.

The sequel to “Man of Steel” has a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

Man Of Steel Blu-Ray Site Features LexCorp, Post-Movie Details & More

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:12098:]]

A new viral site for the Man of Steel Blu-Ray offers some information about the history of the Kryptonians with LexCorp involved as well as the U.S. Air Force.

The site, LearnAboutKrypton, is set up as a documentary giving the user the ability to choose different videos and images about Krypton.

We see there is knowledge about Krypton which suggests following Man of Steel, the U.S. Government heavily invested into researching Krypton. LexCorp provides artist renderings of the destroyed Black Zero and World Mind ships. In addition, the weaponry of the Kyrptonians has also been extensively studied.

There is also a bit of extra footage from Man of Steel provided by some found-footage as well as the U.S. armed forces in the Battle of Smallville.

Below you can check out some images from the site as well as video featuring the Kryptonian Aviation and Arsenal. The Aviation video features LexCorps.

This could give clues as to the direction Batman Vs. Superman will go with LexCorps and Lex Luthor being the savior of Metropolis while Superman looks like the hostile invading alien.

Zack Snyder also announced a QnA hosted by Kevin Smith with himself, Amy Adams and Henry Cavill will be held on November 9th.
