AMC has cast Kim Dickens as the female lead in The Walking Dead spinoff series.
Dickens, known for Sons Of Anarchy, Gone Girl, Treme and Deadwood, will star alongside Cliff Curtis, with the series set in California and parts of the West Coast.
Though not officially confirmed, it’s thought Kim Dickens will be playing guidance counselor Nancy Tomkins, according to Variety, with the character described as: “A thirtysomething single mom to two kids, Nancy looks like the girl next door, but there’s an edge to her.”
Also cast in The Walking Dead spinoff are Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey who will be playing Nancy’s children.
Nick is described as: “Nancy’s screwed up teenage son who is too old to stay home, but too scared to flee.”
With Ashley: “Nancy’s mostly level-headed teenage daughter, whose ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother’s failures.”
