Chris Pratt & Jurassic World Stomps Avengers & Man Of Steel

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20986:]]

Chris Pratt and Jurassic World have stomped the crud out of The Avengers and Man of Steel.

Jurassic World smashed the June opening day record previously held by Man of Steel with an $82.8 million opening for Friday alone.

2013’s Superman movie scored $44 million for its Friday opening, and had an opening weekend gross of $116.6 million.

Jurassic Park is projected to have an opening weekend of $180 million or possibly more.

Marvel’s The Avengers, back in May of 2012, netted $80.8 million for its first opening day.

Jurassic World sits at the #3 spot overall for best single day opening, just trailing The Avengers 2 ($84.4 million) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($91 million). Jurassic World is also above The Dark Knight Rises, the Twilight movies, Hunger Games and Transformers.

At WB’s movie aggregate site, Rotten Tomatoes, Jurassic World has a critics score of 71% positive rating, with audiences giving it an 87% approval rating.

Chris Pratt is also confirmed to be signed on for additional Jurassic World movies.

Pratt thanked fans on Facebook:

On behalf of everyone involved in the making of ‪#‎JurassicWorld‬, and believe me there are thousands of us, I want to say thank you.

It feels so wonderful to hear the overwhelmingly positive response. We are incredibly blessed and overcome with joy at the outcome of the movie and couldn’t be more appreciative for the amazing support you’ve shown so far. This is bigger than all of us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Jurassic Park 4 Said To Feature Dinosaurs Vs. Smart Dinosaurs; 2015 Release

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:8894:]]

Possible new details on Jurassic Park 4 have surfaced, and it’s also learned the film will have an as-of-yet unannounced 2015 release date.

According to a report, sources tell JoBlo that Jurassic Park 4 will feature Dinosaurs vs. Dinosaurs.

Apparently what happens is the dinos of the original films, namely the T-Rex and Velicoraptors are tamed, with a new breed of dangerous dinosaur being responsible for the latest havoc.

This sets up the T-Rex and Velicoraptors to take on the new – unknown – dinosaurs, which are said to be smarter than previously thought.

Here are the details:

Jurassic Park 4 is said to be set in present day Isla Nublar, now an actual theme park.

Includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon, which means underwater dinosaurs for the first time. Concept art is said to reveal one of the aquatic dino’s, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at Sea World.

The Velociraptors are said to be tamed and muzzled, along with the T-Rex (until they’re not), and will actually be used to help fight the threat, which begins in the form of a new dinosaur, not seen in any of the previous films.

The new dinosaurs are said to be much smarter than originally thought and is the main cause of havoc breaking out at the park.

Colin Trevorrow is directing Jurassic Park 4.

Man of Steel 3D Trailer In Theaters Now

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:6638:]]Reports are surfacing that the Man of Steel Trailer is currently playing in theaters attached to G.I. Joe Retaliation as well as Jurassic Park 3D.

It’s said to be a shorter version of the Man of Steel trailer in 3D with director Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan mentioned along with “Next Summer.”

The SupermanHomePage received the following from one of their readers:

Word is that a slightly shortened 3D version of the “Man of Steel” trailer is being shown before IMAX 3D showings of “Jurassic Park”, with the title cards, “Next Summer”, “From Zack Snyder”, “And Christopher Nolan” altered to include a faint starfield in the background to make the words leap off the screen. Also the “Man of Steel” title card now fades into the new “S” shield at the end of the trailer.

A notation at the end of the trailer says, “Experience it in Real 3D and in IMAX 3D”.

“The film is going to be a visually exciting experience in all formats: 2D, 3D and IMAX,” director Zack Snyder said in a previously released statement. “Anticipating how audiences today embrace 3D, we designed and photographed the movie in a way that would allow Man of Steel to captivate those movie goers, while respecting fans who prefer a more traditional cinematic experience. We’ve taken great measures to ensure the film and the story come first, and 3D is meant as an enhancement.”

Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.

Jurassic Park 4 To Introduce New Scarey Breed of Dinosaur

The previous Jurassic Park movies introduced audiences to the cunning and ferocious Velociraptors, and the next seems to do much the same with a new scary breed of dinosaur.

Jurassic Park 4 hits theaters Jun 2014 and a paleontologist working on the movie, Jack Horner, says a new extinct dinosaur will rise to fame.

“I can’t actually tell you who that will be,” Horner, who consulted on the previous Jurassic Park movies, tells USA Today. “But you’ll want to keep the lights on after you see this movie.”

Colin Trevorrow, known for Safety Not Guaranteed, is directing Jurassic Park 4 with Steven Spielberg on as producer.

The movie has a June 13, 2014 release.

Jurassic Park 3D is in theaters Friday.

Jurassic Park 4 Coming June 2014 In 3-D With Spielberg Attached

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5003:]]Jurassic Park 4 has just been announced having a June 13, 2014 release date with Steven Spielberg attached.

Earlier, Jurassic Park social media sites lit up with the annoucement, “Just announced! JURASSIC PARK 4 is coming to theaters on June 13, 2014! What do you hope to see in this new sequel?”

In addition, a number of entertainment news sites let it be known that Steven Spielberg will be on the movie, but not as a director; he’ll be on as producer.

Universal Pictures also has the original Jurassic Park getting a re-release this April in 3-D.

The first movie came out in 1993 making close to a whopping $1 billion worldwide and spawning a couple sequels, with the last coming out in 2001 from Captain America: The First Avenger director, Joe Johnston.

Back in 2002 when plans for Jurassic Park 4 were first announced, it was said that Johnston would return to helm.

As of yet, no director or plot has been announced.
