Taye Diggs Wants To Play Luke Cage (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:16508:]]

With Luke Cage coming to Netflix, actors have been lining up stating they want to play the character.

The latest is Taye Diggs, as the actor appeared on Conan O’Brien stating he wants to play a superhero.

I would love to. That’s one of the things I haven’t gotten to do, yet. Just to be able to do that…you know that flying, and then they land.

Diggs then shows an example, with Conan asking which hero.

Luke Cage. Growing up a poor black boy, you gravitate to the black superheroes. That’s why I really loved Django Unchained. Because you never got to see the black dude – excuse me [laughs] – shoot up the white people… You never got to see that. He’s always the buddy or the dude giving his life away [laughs].

Diggs is currently starring in the Murder In The First TV series.

Zachary Quinto Star Trek Into Darkness “Footage” On Conan O’Brien (Video)

Curse you, J.J. Abrams!

While we only have two days until the debut of the first Star Trek Into Darkness footage in the form of the movie’s first trailer, fans were once again teased on a national talk show in the hopes of seeing – anything – from the movie.

Previously, director J.J. Abrams “premiered” footage from the movie, which was only a three second “clip” of Zachary Quinto as Spock.

Now Quinto has brought his own footage with him on Conan O’Brien without J.J. Abrams and Paramount’s knowledge.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:4446:]]

We see Zachary Quinto made mention of exploding aliens?! No. Most likely not a clue to the movie’s story.

Star Trek Into Darkness has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.

Warp on over to the Cosmic Book News Star Trek Movie Hub for more news.

Synopsis:

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Star Trek (2013): First Official Look At Zachary Quinto As Spock From Conan O’Brien

Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams appeared as a guest on the Conan O’Brien show and brought with him a “clip” of the new movie.

Abrams informed Conan that Paramount would only let him bring a short clip from Star Trek Into Darkness — consisting of only three frames.

Abrams set the clip up by describing the scene, which we previously heard and saw set images about, that Zachary Quinto’s character, Spock, descends into a Volcano.

Updated: with Conan O’Brien video of J.J. Abrams below.
