Riddick Movie Poster Revealed With Vin Diesel

Chronicles of Riddick 3 – or just Riddick – gets a new movie poster featuring Vin Diesel.

Riddick has an unnannounced 2013 release date, directed by David Twohy and stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff, and Dave Bautista.

Synopsis:

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

Chronicles of Riddick 3: First Look At Katee Sackhoff and New Monster

Vin Diesel gives us two more looks at Chronicles of Riddick 3, with a first look at Katee Sackhoff as the Merc, “Dahl.”

Vin also provides us a look at some sort of caged monster!

On Sackhoff, Diesel had the following to say:

Not all Mercs are spineless… in fact some are downright sexy…

GRRRR

P.s. Katee who plays “Dahl” wrapped picture this morning at 5:45 am, after a long night of rain, action and wires… the talent she brought to the new Chronicles of Riddick… added magic to the film and the process. /salute

And on the creature:

Too focused on the captive, the bounty…

Haha

And when they realize what is out there in the dark… it’s too late.

Tentatively titled “Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking,” the movie has a 2013 release date.

Chronicles of Riddick 3: A Look At The Mercs From The Video Game?

Vin Diesel posted another image on his Facebook, which I’m taking to be associated with Chronicles of Riddick 3.

However, it looks more like video game art to me, to be honest. Or maybe concept art.

Vin Diesel does own Tigon Studios, which makes games based off of his characters so maybe this is something from a new Riddick 3 game.

He also posted the following:

No regard for Necro royalty…

Haha…

Mercs!

Chronicles of Riddick 3: Vin Diesel Green Screen Set Image and New Pic

Vin Diesel released the following two images via his Facebook from the set of Chronicles of Riddick 3.

Tentatively titled Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking, the movie has a 2013 release date.

Regarding the first image, Vin Diesel stated the following:

Despite the fact, that this by far is the most physical of roles that I have played… I decided to show a picture you might never see… a candid, of me in between a lighting set up, just reflecting…

It has been sometime now since I have ventured to that place, where the Furyan dwells… It is strange how learning about myself always coincides with playing the character, which has never been more true than in this experience… but, I will explain that some other day when I am beyond this journey.

It was early yesterday morning when our production week ended, the Director and handful from the crew were recapping/celebrating the weeks accomplishments, when someone asked why I had to make this film. The Director who has known me for almost 15 years said quickly… “with Vin, it is all about the promise, if he says he will make it, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, he will.”

While I was shooting “Find me Guilty”, in 2004, we often had visitors who viewed the process like it was a stage performance, haha… it very much reminded me of the off broadway theatre days of my youth. One regular, was an elderly fella named Charlie, he was my favorite of guests, he actually grew up near the set which happened to be the same place that Marlon Brando filmed “On the Waterfront” half a century ago. I appreciated his visits in particular, he had a positive, encouraging energy and he always left with the same words… “No one will bring the truth and spirit of the character like you… you must do it!” He was referring to Hannibal the Conqueror… he actually bought a ticket to the Warner Bros’ version starring Victor Mature in the 1950’s.

My friend Charlie passed away this morning, peacefully in his sleep… a prayer and a farewell… and yes my old friend Charlie…

We will find a way, or We will make one!

Chronicles of Riddick 3: First Look At Vin Diesel On Set

Vin Diesel released a first look at his character, Riddick, via his FB from the set of Chronicles of Riddick 3.

Looks to be perhaps some sort of flying/gliding apparatus. If you look closely at his hands he seems to be holding onto two handles that would open up the cape into a glider with his outstetched arms. Or maybe it’s some kind of weapon.

Vin Diesel Reveals More ‘Chronicles Of Riddick 3: Dead Man Stalking’ Concept Art

pic

Once again, Vin Diesel has taken to his facebook to reveal another piece of concept art for the next Chronicles Of Riddick.

Dubbed “The Final Stand of Riddick” we see a cool looking action piece of Riddick battling some alien creatures.

Here is what Vin Diesel had to say:

In the spirit of Creative Sundays…

Concept art and Key frames allow a production to explore possibilities before actually committing to film. The road to the “R” rating, that so many of you were vocal about, has been a long one. The advantage however, (never empower the negatives) was that we were allowed a really extensive preproduction. The art work is so good, the artists have really outdone themselves in illustrating this world at it’s early stage.

When this film comes to the screen… know that you willed it into being!

Haha…

P.s. Share your thoughts… It’s Sunday and we are, at the very least, allowed to be creative in thought.
