With Marvel searching for a new Spider-Man, it’s been said they tested a bunch of young actors for the part.
One of those actors looks to be Chandler Riggs, known for playing Carl on The Walking Dead.
Riggs tweeted out the following a couple of hours ago stating good luck to whoever lands the Spider-Man role, which seems to insinuate he tried out for the new Spider-Man, but didn’t get the part.
Riggs also uses the Captain America: Civil War hashtag, which may mean he has insider knowledge that while trying out for the Spider-Man role, he was told it is for Captain America 3.
According to the Hollywood trade sites, Marvel is close to choosing their new Spider-Man with Tom Holland, Asa Butterfield, Judah Lewis, Matthew Lintz, Charlie Rowe and Charlie Plummer said to be the top contenders.
A new Spider-Man solo movie is also being planned for 2017.
We get some teasers about The Walking Dead Season 4 which returns this October.
The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features three different character covers for The Walking Dead Season 4 where it’s stated that not only will the zombies take center stage, but that a mysterious “menace” threatens Rick’s group from within the prison.
“The new threat is something you can’t just stab in the face,” new showrunner Scott M. Gimple said. “You can’t talk sense to it. You can’t make a truce with it. It’s beyond all that. It would be a threat in any world, but in this world it is much more terrifying.”
The Walking Dead will also be a part of this week’s Comic-Con.
Below you can check out the three covers featuring Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and bad ass Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).
The Walking Dead star Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes, has signed on to have a starring role in Stephen King’s new horror thriller, Mercy.
Joining Riggs is Super 8 star Joel Courtney, as the two play brothers that move with their mother to take care of the grandmother who, unknown to them, is really a witch that made an evil deal using black magic years earlier with the Ancient Ones.
The story is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and is based on King’s short story Gramma, which was first published in Weirdbook magazine in 1984.
Chandler Riggs has recently become his own man on The Walking Dead when he was forced to shoot his mother to stop her from “turning,” and subsequently had to deal with the breakdown of his father and care of his newborn sister.
