Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare & Modern Warfare Remastered Announced

CALL OF DUTY: INFINITE WARFARE REDEFINES THE FRANCHISE WITH CLASSIC WAR STORY IN A BOLD, NEW SETTING

All-New Call of Duty Arrives on Friday, November 4

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy and Digital Deluxe Editions Includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for the Ultimate Fan Package

Call of Duty® is returning to its roots for a classic, epic battle of two armies unlike anything seen before in the record-setting series. Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare will launch worldwide Friday, November 4, immersing players in a war story that, for the first time in franchise history, extends beyond the reaches of Earth into the vast expanse of our solar system. Published by Activision and led by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will also be available as the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, which includes the return of the full campaign and 10 multiplayer maps from the famed Call of Duty® 4: Modern Warfare®, released in high-definition brilliance as Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Remastered*.

Infinite Warfare and the Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition, featuring Modern Warfare® Remastered, will be available for PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and PC.

“This year, we’re both honouring the heritage of Call of Duty while taking players to incredible new heights,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a bold, new vision from the studio that created the original Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, and an adventure on an insanely epic scale that only Call of Duty could deliver. And Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is one of the most beloved games of all-time, reborn for a new generation. We have lovingly remastered it with a whole new level of graphical fidelity and realism that wasn’t possible when the original was released. It’s going to be a great year for Call of Duty players.”

“With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we are taking Call of Duty to places fans have never experienced in the series,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward. “On one hand, this game is the kind of gritty, boots on the ground, visceral war story that Call of Duty is known for. On the other, its future setting takes players on a journey of epic scale and proportions, providing incredible gameplay innovations and new experiences for our fans. This is a grand scale, old-school, all-out war in an epic new-school setting. And it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun.”

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare puts storytelling front and center in a rich, immersive narrative. Infinity Ward breaks new ground by exploring the weight of leadership and its responsibilities. In a desperate time of overwhelming adversity, the player, as Captain of their own warship, must take command against a relentless enemy. Experienced soldiers are thrust into extraordinary circumstances that will test their training and reveal their true character as they learn to lead and to make the hard decisions necessary to achieve victory. The game also introduces stunning, never before seen environments, new weaponry and inventive player abilities to Call of Duty. The entire campaign – from boots-on-ground combat to piloting high speed space-fighters – occurs as a near seamless experience with few visible loading times, and delivers the hallmark, blockbuster franchise moments that fans love.

One of the most critically acclaimed titles in the series, inspired by overwhelming community interest, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is being remastered for current generation consoles. Executive produced by Infinity Ward and developed by Raven, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered* puts players into a modern-day action-thriller filled with the heart-stopping moments that made it one of the most critically-acclaimed games of all-time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered boasts vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound and much more. Fans will relive the full, iconic campaign as they’re transported around the globe with Capt. Price, Gaz and Soap across all the missions from the original game, including “All Ghillied Up,” “Charlie Don’t Surf,” and “Crew Expendable.” Players will also experience the online multiplayer mode that redefined Call of Duty by introducing killstreaks, XP, Prestige and more, and battle head-to-head in 10 fan-favorite maps from the original multiplayer mode, including classics such as “Crash,” “Backlot” and “Crossfire.”

“The original Modern Warfare raised the bar on video games and forever will be remembered as one of the best. It’s an honour to be developing the remaster and we are committed to faithfully remastering this classic for Call of Duty fans,” stated Brian Raffel, studio head of Raven Software.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included with the following editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare:

· Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition – Includes both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
· Digital Deluxe Edition – Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Teaser

;

A teaser for the next Call of Duty game has been released with “Know Your Enemy.”

As of now the official title for the game has yet to be revealed, but an earlier leak on the PS Store listed “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” as the title.

It’s rumored the game is going to be basically all sci-fi, which isn’t sitting well with a lot of fans.

It’s also said the game will come with a remastered version of Modern Warfare.

I know a lot of fans are just hoping for updated graphics for the MW remaster and not anything new.

Infinity Ward is putting this one out, who also put out COD: Ghosts, which is considered to be one of the worst COD games out there; however, I’ll say in Infinity Ward’s defense, it’s probably a safe bet they put together Ghosts pretty quick for the launch of the PS4.

I wish Activision would remaster MW2 and Black Ops II for the PS4. Maybe one day.

ACTIVISION BLIZZARD LAUNCHES ACTIVISION BLIZZARD STUDIOS TO CREATE ORIGINAL FILM AND TV CONTENT BASED ON ICONIC, GLOBALLY-RECOGNIZED FRANCHISES

Initial Productions to Include Skylanders™ TV Series and Call of Duty™ Film Series

Disney Veteran Nick van Dyk Named Studio Co-President

Activision Blizzard today announced the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, a new film and television studio devoted to creating original content based on the company’s extensive library of iconic and globally-recognized intellectual properties. Activision Blizzard’s owned content includes some of the most popular entertainment franchises in the world, including Call of Duty, Skylanders, Diablo, Hearthstone and StarCraft. Former Disney executive Nick van Dyk has been tapped to co-head the division, along with a senior creative executive who will be announced soon.

Activision Blizzard Studios’ first production will be “Skylanders Academy,” an animated TV series based on the award-winning Skylanders game. Currently in production under the supervision of showrunner Eric Rogers (“Futurama”), “Skylanders Academy” will feature the voices of Justin Long (“Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Ask Me Anything”) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (“Phineas and Ferb,” “High School Musical”) as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks(“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) as Eruptor and Norm Macdonald (“Saturday Night Live”) as Glumshanks. Additional voice talent includes Harland Williams and Richard Horvitz. The award-winning, $3 billion Skylanders franchise has sold through more than 250 million toys since pioneering the toys-to-life category in 2011i.

Another near-term initiative for Activision Blizzard Studios will be the development of a robust cinematic universe based on the Call of Duty franchise. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the number one-selling title on next-generation consoles and today marks the launch of the highly-anticipated new Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Activision Blizzard Studios envisions a series of Call of Duty feature films as well as the possibility of television adaptations.

“Activision Blizzard is home to some of the most successful entertainment franchises in history, across any medium. With the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, our engaged fans can now watch the games they love come to life across film and television,” said Bobby Kotick, Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard. “Activision Blizzard Studios is yet another way we’re celebrating our players and fans, and we expect that our film and television productions will entertain and delight whole new audiences, as well. I’m excited that Nick and his team will be leading this important new growth opportunity for Activision Blizzard.”

Kotick added, “We intend to approach film and television development with the same unwavering commitment to excellence we are known for in game development.”

Nick van Dyk, formerly a long-time Walt Disney Company senior executive, will serve as Activision Blizzard Studios’ Co-President, alongside a top creative executive who will be announced soon. Van Dyk will have responsibility for distribution, physical production, strategy, finance and operations and will co-manage all aspects of the studio. Before joining Activision Blizzard last year, van Dyk spent nine years at Disney where, as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, he helped drive Disney’s focus on franchise intellectual property and played a significant role in the acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. Prior to that, van Dyk was part of Artisan Entertainment’s senior management team.

“Activision Blizzard Studios has the unique advantage of starting with a library of world-class intellectual property that includes some of the largest franchises which have not yet been developed in film and television,” said van Dyk. “Our library spans more than 30 years of global entertainment culture and, in the last 12 months alone, fans of Activision Blizzard properties have played and watched our games online for more than 13 billion hours. This gives us a huge, passionate and deeply-engaged audience that is hungry for more great content built from the universes they already know and love—and which are extremely broad in their appeal.”

Van Dyk added, “Activision Blizzard Studios is not just an exciting new business for our company, it is a synergistic complement to our core business. Our movies and shows will benefit from the remarkable IP created in our games and will further increase the awareness of, engagement with and passion for our franchises.”

Activision Blizzard Studios is another important step in the company’s strategy of expanding the platforms through which it offers its compelling intellectual property to existing fans and new audiences around the world.

The founding of Activision Blizzard Studios follows the company’s announcement on Oct. 22 of a new esports division headed by former ESPN CEO Steve Bornstein and Major League Gaming co-founder and president Mike Sepso. The esports division will build on the company’s competitive gaming leadership by creating all-new ways to deliver the best-in-class fan experience across games, platforms and geographies, furthering the development of its world-leading esports ecosystem. Activision Blizzard’s other divisions are Activision Publishing and Blizzard Entertainment. On Nov. 2, the company announced its plans to acquire King Digital Entertainment, the creators of the Candy Crush, Farm Heroes, Pet Rescue and Bubble Witch franchises, which will make it a new global leader in mobile gaming.

Treyarch Confirms Call Of Duty For 2015

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:19064:]]

A new Call Of Duty game is confirmed for 2015.

Treyarch, maker of the popular Call of Duty: Black Ops games, has confirmed a new game for 2015 on Twitter.

“COD in 2015 confirmed,” Treyarch posted. “We look forward to carrying on the conversation…that is, if we haven’t started it already. #InDevelopment.”

It’s unknown if Treyarch will be going with Black Ops III or a new title for the game.

It’s also thought the new Call of Duty will most likely be released around November of this year, right in time for the Holiday Season.

Treyarch is also known for their popular zombie COD games, which more than likely will be a part of the new Call Of Duty as well.

The current COD game, Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, also has zombies, but is created by SledgeHammer games.

Black Ops II outsold both Halo 4 and the Avengers movie when it was released in 2012.
