Spider-Man: The First Avenger Video Game Rumored

A new Spider-Man video game from Activision is rumored to be coming out.

According to a notable gaming leaker, Activision has plans for Spider-Man: The First Avenger, which is said to tie into the new Tom Holland movie as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Activision previously put out Spider-Man games for the Andrew Garfield films, so a new Tom Holland Spider-Man video game woudn’t be out of the question.

What’s rather interesting is that the Spider-Man: The First Avenger game would tie into the MCU, which doesn’t really have many console games out there. The last console games associated with Marvel movies were the poorly received Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier games.

The title for the new game, Spider-Man: The First Avenger, may also give credence to the rumored title of the new stadalone Tom Holland movie with “Spider-Man: The New Avenger.”

Tom Holland debuts as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War; the standalone Spider-Man reboot has a July 7, 2017 release.

Initial Productions to Include Skylanders™ TV Series and Call of Duty™ Film Series

Activision Blizzard today announced the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, a new film and television studio devoted to creating original content based on the company’s extensive library of iconic and globally-recognized intellectual properties. Activision Blizzard’s owned content includes some of the most popular entertainment franchises in the world, including Call of Duty, Skylanders, Diablo, Hearthstone and StarCraft. Former Disney executive Nick van Dyk has been tapped to co-head the division, along with a senior creative executive who will be announced soon.

Activision Blizzard Studios’ first production will be “Skylanders Academy,” an animated TV series based on the award-winning Skylanders game. Currently in production under the supervision of showrunner Eric Rogers (“Futurama”), “Skylanders Academy” will feature the voices of Justin Long (“Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Ask Me Anything”) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (“Phineas and Ferb,” “High School Musical”) as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks(“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) as Eruptor and Norm Macdonald (“Saturday Night Live”) as Glumshanks. Additional voice talent includes Harland Williams and Richard Horvitz. The award-winning, $3 billion Skylanders franchise has sold through more than 250 million toys since pioneering the toys-to-life category in 2011i.

Another near-term initiative for Activision Blizzard Studios will be the development of a robust cinematic universe based on the Call of Duty franchise. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the number one-selling title on next-generation consoles and today marks the launch of the highly-anticipated new Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Activision Blizzard Studios envisions a series of Call of Duty feature films as well as the possibility of television adaptations.

Nick van Dyk, formerly a long-time Walt Disney Company senior executive, will serve as Activision Blizzard Studios’ Co-President, alongside a top creative executive who will be announced soon. Van Dyk will have responsibility for distribution, physical production, strategy, finance and operations and will co-manage all aspects of the studio. Before joining Activision Blizzard last year, van Dyk spent nine years at Disney where, as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, he helped drive Disney’s focus on franchise intellectual property and played a significant role in the acquisitions of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. Prior to that, van Dyk was part of Artisan Entertainment’s senior management team.

Activision Announces Cheap Next-Gen Upgrade Option For Call Of Duty: Ghosts

Actvision announced at Gamescom a pretty good deal for those gamers who will be getting a next-gen console somewhere down the line, but may have already purchased Call of Duty: Ghosts for PS3 or XBox 360.

For only ten bucks you can upgrade to the next-gen console version, PS4 or X-Box One, and bring all your Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass Content with you.

So you need not buy a second copy of the game, you just have to pay the ten bucks for an upgrade. Not bad!

For example, if you can’t wait to play Call of Duty: Ghosts, which comes out November 5th for PS3, but plan on getting PS4 when it becomes available on November 15th, you can buy the PS3 version and then just do the upgrade. Same for XBox one when that becomes available.

From the below announcement, it looks like more details are forthcoming; hopefully they continue this option through the Holidays, and it would be nice to apply to older games as well (Black Ops II).

Update: Sony announced policy is also in effect for Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed IV, and Watch Dogs.

Treyarch continues to expand the Zombies story world in imaginative, mind-tripping ways with “Buried.”  Once players meet up with the four survivors of Tranzit, they’ll begin to encounter the undead residents of an abandoned underground Old West mining town.  A healthy arsenal of equipment and weapons will be at players’ disposal, but with one very special addition – something so powerful it will also appear in all other Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies maps (with the purchase of Vengeance DLC) – the Ray Gun Mark II.

Additionally, six new Call of Duty: Black Ops II Personalisation Packs will be available for PS3/PC players on 22nd August.  The packs are Glam, Coyote, Aqua, Pack-a-Punch, Breach, and Rogue.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance DLC Pack is available a la carte or for download by Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Season Pass holders. Call of Duty: Black Ops II game (sold separately) is required to play this Map Pack.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance delivers four new, diverse multiplayer maps starting with “Cove,” where the stage is set for all-out conflict on this small, forgotten island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with players battling it out amongst the wreckage of a jet that crash-landed during a smuggling operation gone wrong.  Next up is “Detour,” a destroyed suspension bridge, high above an East Coast waterway, packed with scattered vehicles, exposed iron and collapsed pavement where the head-to-head action will play out on multiple levels.  The third map, “Rush,” sets the stage for fast, close-quarters engagements in this paintball course turned full-combat arena, giving players new opportunities and challenges to use the cover to their advantage.  Rounding out Vengeance’s multiplayer maps is “Uplink.”  In this re-imagined adaptation of the fan-favorite multiplayer map “Summit” from the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops, players clash deep in the rain-soaked jungles of Myanmar, high atop a hi-tech mountain facility.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Officially Announced For PS3, XBox 360 & Next-Gen Consoles; Teaser Trailer Released

Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will have a November 5th release for the PS3, PC and XBox 360.

In addition, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be made available for next-gen consoles as more will become known at the XBox Next-Generation Console Reveal on May 21st.

To maximize ultimate agent gameplay, all versions of the game are compatible with the Top Shot Elite peripheral, the PlayStation®3 version is also compatible with the PlayStation®Move sharp shooter and the Wii version with the Wii Zapperâ„¢.

In Men In Black: Alien Crisis, players take on the role as Peter Delacoeur, a MIB Agent in training, assigned to unearth enemy aliens who are planning to destroy planet Earth. With hidden surveillance and stealthy guards on the prowl, players must ambush confidential alien intelligence and stop all alien attacks. Men In Black: Alien Crisis brings exciting, realistic MIB Agent movements as players shoot, and dodge their way through action-packed levels to escape fierce alien assaults.   Additionally, all platforms feature two-player split-screen gameplay and four-person “hot-seat” competitive action for awesome friends and family involvement.

In the film  Men in Black 3, Agents J and K are back… in time.
