Michigan St. Athletic Director Mark Hollis has just tweeted the following image of Batman Vs. Superman director Zack Snyder.
Hollis added,”Great to have Zack Snyder on campus. Is it a clue? I don’t know ….”
Snyder will be filming parts of Batman Vs. Superman in Michigan, and it also looks like he was there to give the Michigan St. football players an early look at 300: Rise of An Empire, as Snyder is a producer on the film. The Michigan St. team is known as The Spartans.
“Along with @MSU_Football team, had a NYE opportunity to see a screening of the new 300: Rise of an Empire with Zack Snyder. Not Disappointed,” Hollis added.
As Hollis notes, he saw the movie on New Year’s Eve; it’s unknown if the image is from that date or from something more recent as it’s thought Batman Vs. Superman has seen a delay in production.
“Batman Vs Superman” has a newly announced May 6, 2016 release also starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The Greek general Themistocles battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes.
Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.
“300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures present, a Cruel and Unusual Films/Mark Canton/Gianni Nunnari Production, “300: Rise of an Empire.” The action adventure stars Sullivan Stapleton (“Gangster Squad”) as Themistokles and Eva Green (“Dark Shadows,” “Casino Royale”) as Artemisia. Lena Headey reprises her starring role from “300” as the Spartan Queen, Gorgo; Hans Matheson (“Clash of the Titans”) stars as Aeskylos; David Wenham returns as Dilios, and Rodrigo Santoro stars again as the Persian King, Xerxes.
The film is directed by Noam Murro, from a screenplay by Zack Snyder & Kurt Johnstad, based on the graphic novel Xerxes, by Frank Miller. It is produced by Gianni Nunnari, Mark Canton, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Bernie Goldmann. Thomas Tull, Frank Miller, Stephen Jones and Jon Jashni serve as executive producers.
The creative filmmaking team includes director of photography Simon Duggan, production designer Patrick Tatopoulos, editors Wyatt Smith and David Brenner, and costume designer Alexandra Byrne. The music is composed by Junkie XL.
Opening in 3D and 2D in select theatres and IMAX beginning March 7, 2014, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
Zack Snyder will be using his 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch cinematographer Larry Fong for the untitled Batman vs. Superman movie.
A resume at the World Wide Production Agency for Larry Fong has been updated and lists Fong as the director of photography (DP).
A DP is in charge of everything on set that deals with the camera work, basically having as much responsibility and answering only to the director.
The resume notes “Batman Vs. Superman” as the title of the movie, which we are guessing is only used as a general title.
Other credits for Fong include being the DP for J.J. Abrams’ Super 8 as well as Lost.
The sequel to “Man of Steel” goes into production next year for a July 17, 2015 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
