Superman/Batman Man of Steel 2 Said To Be Filming In Toronto In 2014

Zack Snyder brought his new Superman movie, Man of Steel, to Vancouver to film, but it looks as if the sequel will not be returning there, instead shooting in Toronto.

It’s being reported by the Vancouver website, Vancity Buzz, that due to better tax incentives, the new Superman/Batman movie is filming in Toronto, Ontario in 2014.

They site a reliable source within the film industry, with this being the third major blow to Vancouver’s economy as X-Men and Fantastic Four have also left.

Recently it came out that Fox Studios and Josh Trank are moving their Fantastic Four reboot from Vancouver to Louisiana, with Bryan Singer filming X-Men: Days Of Future Past in Montreal.

It’s reported that the Man of Steel 2 Toronto shoot would mean upwards of a $100 million loss for Vancouver as the first Superman movie brought in a plethora of jobs and local economic benefits to the province.

Superman/Batman Man of Steel 2 begins production in 2014 directed by Zack Snyer and sees Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne reprise their roles with a new Batman to be cast.
