Superman: The Man of Steel (2013): Lois Lane Smallville Spoiler

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1348:]]From various set images for the new Superman movie, the Man of Steel, we know that Lois Lane (Amy Adams) is in Smallville.

While it might be easy to think the reason behind Lois’ appearance is to accompany her boyfriend, Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), there appears to be other motives behind the visit.

Such as work related.

A series of props for the Man of Steel have been recently auctioned off, ranging from the Kent house weather vane to pieces of furniture.

Some of which included props from the apartment of Lois Lane — which are all too revealing!

A newspaper article posted on Ms. Lane’s bulletin board seemingly reveals some sort of poisoning. ThePropStop, which posted the image, says that the clips are “about a poisoning of the Metropolis area by an unknown contamination.” From the picture, we can read there is some sort of high school girl having health problems, along with the rest of her family. 

With that, we see a picture of rocks.

Rocks that we have seen before on the Smallville set in Plano, Illinois. They were said to be actually found at baby Kal-El’s crash site for the movie, which I put forth might be Black Krypontite, and further put forth that we may see an evil Clark Kent and/or Superman.

Now it’s not too hard to speculate and see where this is going. Metropolis gets contaminated, which leads to Lois Lane investigating the poisoning — leading her to the strange rocks and perhaps similar poisonings in Smallville.

More can further be derived from that, such as: Is Superman the cause of the poison (radiation)? Is this the reason for Clark Kent leaving Smallville? Is Zod somehow behind this? Or how about Dr. Emil Hamilton?! Hamilton teased he might be a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs (located in Metropolis), and that he enjoys his work. Could be his works gets away from him — or not.

And this might be just how Lois Lane meets Clark Kent.

Kinda interesting to see how much effort they put into these background pics. Instead of just filling them with “gibber gabber,” there are actual movie details.
