Kudos to the new Man of Steel director Zack Snyder for throwing Smallville fans a bone.

Robert Gerdisch has been cast as Whitney Fordham in the new Superman movie.

Of course Whitney was the jock/football player boyfriend of Lana in Smallville that was at odds with Clark throughout high school.

Gerdisch joins Jack Foley as Pete Ross,
Janice Gould as Lana Lang
, and Dylan Sprayberry as a young Clark Kent, as they portray the “young” Superman years.

Could be all three are involved in the same scene that has to do with a bus crash.

With the three new cast members announced, Snyder appears to be going for a more middle school, perhaps, flashback scene compared to the popular high school Smallville setting, as Gould and Sprayberry are said to be around the ages of 13.

Note: Smallville fans eagerly anticipate the inclusion of fan favorite Chloe Sullivan.

Thanks to the “unofficial” Man of Steel FB Page for the info.

*SPOILERS*

Clark is revealed as the super man that he is to Lana when he saves the day during that bus crash.
