Superman: The Man of Steel (2013) Michael Shannon Finds Playing Zod Intimidating

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:446:]]Michael Shannon, who plays Zod in the Man of Steel, recently mentioned that playing the character that Terence Stamp brought to fame in Superman I and II is a bit unsettling.

“I find that pretty intimidating, honestly. I think he pretty much nailed it,” Shannon told The Independent. “My girlfriend [actress Kate Arrington], had it on. She was watching it out of curiosity. And I saw it and said: ‘You’ve got to turn it off. I can’t watch that. I’m not worthy!'”

Shannon was also asked if he was reading any of the comics for research. Again, the actor states he is not a big fan.

“I can’t read comic books. They don’t make any sense to me. I find they’re very hard to follow. I’m never sure which panel to look at, and then I just get confused.”
Quick! Somebody get Michael a digital comic where all you have to do is thumb through the panels!
