[[wysiwyg_imageupload:8916:]]Last we heard from Karl Urban, the actor said there was still a possibility for a Dredd sequel.

Recently, Karl Urban sat down with screenwriter Alex Garland and stated a Dredd sequel is not off the agenda.

Now we hear from Urban at Comic-Con who states here is still hope as sales for home video have been pretty huge.

“It’s certainly my hope that we get to make more … clearly it has found an audience,” Urban said during Comic-Con, reports AirLockAlpha. “The home video sales for Dredd just went through the roof. I think it sold 650,000 units in the first week.”

Karl Urban goes on to state that as long as the fans are behind more Dredd and remain vocal, hopefully the studio will take notice and something will get done.

“I think the more people that campaign for it, the more people that email, Twitter and write into Lionsgate and say ‘We want to see more of this,’ then the more likelihood is that we’ll get to see that,” Uban said. “We certainly are doing everything we can to ensure that happens.”

The R-rated Dredd only made around $36 million worldwide with a $45 million budget, contrary to rave reviews from both critics and fans alike.

Karl Urban can be next seen in the new sci-fi Fox series Almost Human.
