The Star Wars and Marvel crossover talk didn’t stay dead for long, but this time it’s not a comic book. It’s LEGO.
A new leak claims LEGO is putting out a full-blown Star Wars x Marvel crossover set in 2027: 75481 Iron Falcon, which sounds like exactly what the name suggests, the Millennium Falcon reimagined through Tony Stark’s armor.
The LEGO Iron Falcon Leak Explained
The leak comes from Instagram account buggyleaks and spread fast through the r/Legoleak and r/starwarsleaks subreddits, where the posts racked up hundreds of upvotes within a day.
Per the leak, the set is branded “Star Wars x Marvel 2027” and includes a lineup of mashup minifigures: Iron-3PO, War2-D2, Spider-Han, Captain Alderaan, and Hulkbacca.
To be clear, this is a rumor.
LEGO hasn’t announced anything, no images of the actual set have surfaced, and leak accounts have missed before. File it as unconfirmed until LEGO or Disney says otherwise.
The reason this one has legs, though, is that LEGO already ran this exact play.
The Dark Falcon Already Proved The Formula
In 2024, LEGO released 75389 The Dark Falcon, a twisted take on the Millennium Falcon loaded with mashup minifigures like Darth Jar Jar, Jedi Vader, Bounty Hunter C-3PO, and Darth Rey.
That set wasn’t a random gag. It tied directly into LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, the Disney+ animated special that remixed the entire saga — and did well enough to get a 2025 follow-up, Pieces of the Past.
So when a leaked 2027 set shows up carrying names like Spider-Han and Hulkbacca, the pattern is hard to miss. Hybrid minifigures mean a hybrid story, and hybrid stories mean something on a screen somewhere.
Fans Say It’s Not For The Comics — It’s For A Disney+ Special
Fans on Reddit are already connecting the dots, with the top theory in the r/Legoleak thread arguing the set is “likely for an animated Disney+ special like the Rebuild the Galaxy stuff” rather than any comic book tie-in.
Others in the thread note that the inherent silliness of the LEGO specials is exactly why a crossover could actually work there when it wouldn’t anywhere else.
Marvel Already Pitched A Star Wars Crossover, And It Got Shut Down
Animation is also where Marvel itself already tried this.
Back in 2024, What If…? director and executive producer Bryan Andrews revealed the animated series pitched a full Star Wars/Marvel crossover episode, with writer Matthew Chauncey coming up with a reason for the two universes to meet that Andrews said completely worked.
It never made it to the screen. “I think Kevin [Feige] really doesn’t want to cross certain streams,” Andrews told Moovy TV.
The closest the show ever got was a motion-blurred TIE Fighter hidden among the ships in the T’Challa Star-Lord episode. Andrews said Disney even caught and rejected his attempts to sneak Alien and Predator cameos into the Collector’s museum.
That history is exactly what makes the LEGO route the obvious workaround. A LEGO special doesn’t touch the MCU and doesn’t touch canon, the two things Feige has been protecting all along.
The Mark Millar Comic Crossover Was Already Shot Down
This comes just months after the last Star Wars/Marvel crossover rumor died. Back in February, word spread that Marvel was developing a Star Wars vs. Avengers comic book event with Civil War writer Mark Millar attached, until The Hollywood Reporter shot the Millar claim down.
The idea itself has been floating around for years — Rob Liefeld previously said Marvel has taken Star Wars crossover pitches — and with Hope Assembles, it finally made it to an official announcement.
A LEGO animated special sidesteps every problem that made the comic look like a long shot. It’s non-canon by design, it’s aimed at kids and families, and Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios don’t have to sign off on Jedi and Avengers sharing “real” continuity.
It’s the crossover with training wheels, and as we said when the Millar rumor died, this is exactly the kind of stunt Disney was always going to try eventually. Turns out the safest place to try it is a pile of plastic bricks.
What To Expect Next
If the leak is legit, don’t expect Darth Vader to portal into Avengers: Doomsday.
Expect a goofy Disney+ announcement instead, with the Iron Falcon set hitting shelves alongside it in 2027.
LEGO typically reveals its big sets months ahead of release, so if 75481 Iron Falcon is real, official confirmation — and whatever special it’s attached to — should surface in the months ahead.
And who knows? Maybe it’s even a test for an eventual live-action adaptation.
