Darth Vader to return in the new Star Wars movies?!

A UK tabloid site it reporting just that, that Darth Vader is being brought back from the dead for the new Star Wars trilogy of movies.

Last we saw of Darth Vader was in Return of the Jedi when he perished as a result of his wounds from battling with the Emperor. We also saw his alter-ego, a young Anakin Skywalker, edited-in as part of The Force along side Yoda and Obi-Wan.

However, is that the last we have seen of Lord Vader?

According to sources, “He’s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible,” says The Express. “The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films.”

So just how would they go about bringing back Darth Vader?

“This is science fiction remember,” the source told The Express. “Darth Vader will rise from the ashes.”

Wow.

Obviously, the site could be just guessing that this is going to happen, as Darth Vader is the largest and most well-known and recognized Star Wars character, so Disney bringing back Vader wouldn’t be all that far-fetched.

And this would be huge.

However, the site is a tabloid, and what about fan reaction? We’ve also heard that they want to pass the torch from the original characters to a new batch who would go on to star in future Star Wars movies. With mention that Darth Vader would be playing some sort of role in the new films, would that be more of a hindrance or a benefit?

Speaking of benefits, as Darth Vader is completely entombed in his suit, Disney wouldn’t be needing one specific actor for the role.

Still, right now I’m on the fence regarding the return of Darth Vader. You?

Star Wars Episode VII has a 2015 release date.
