[[wysiwyg_imageupload:4214:]]A previous interview with Star Trek Into Darkness actor Zachary Quinto seemingly revealed that the actor wanted to go in a different direction with characters such as Spock, leading to speculation that he was done after J.J. Abrams’ second movie.

CosmicBookNews put it forth that maybe he didn’t exactly mean with Star Trek Into Darkness, but the third Star Trek film.

Well, it turns out that seems to be the case as Zachary Quinto took to his Twitter account to clear up the Spock rumors.

simmer down kids. rumors are rumors for a reason. quotes out of context. let’s let the second movie come out before we talk about a third…

Quinto is also starring on the FX series, American Horror Story, where he plays a serial killer. As Quinto also played one on NBC’s Heroes, he remarked about not doing serial killers again, which also saw mention of Spock, possibly leading to the confusion.

Star Trek Into Darkness has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.
