Star Trek 2 (2013): Now Karl Urban Is Not Telling The Truth

Quick recap:

Karl Urban, Bones, let it be known that Benedict Cumberbatch would not be playing Khan, but Gary Mitchell in Star Trek 2.

Urban then said that he let the cat out of the bag because of a long flight, and then promised new Star Trek 2 footage would be released during Comic-Con weekend on Youtube.

End recap.

Now, Star Trek 2 writer, Damon Lindelof, is saying Urban is full of baloney regarding the footage.

A reporter for MTV passed on the following through Twitter (via The Playlist):

Is Urban off his rocker like Lindelof suggests or is Lindelof just trying to cover for director J.J. Abrams, who is known for running a super tight ship?

Or is Urban just following directions and playing J.J. Abrams’ own games?!

Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

The as-of-yet unnamed Star Trek sequel has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.
