Spider-Noir is an Emmy winner five times over.
The Nicolas Cage series took home five Emmy Awards at this weekend’s Creative Arts ceremonies, two days after Amazon canceled it.
The show went in with 11 nominations, more than any other Prime Video program this year.
The Five Wins
Darran Tiernan won Outstanding Cinematography for a one-hour series for the premiere episode, “Step Into My Office.”
Freddy Bouciegues and Hugh Aodh O’Brien won Outstanding Stunt Coordination for Comedy Programming.
The series also won Outstanding Title Design, Outstanding Sound Editing, and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode.
Five wins for a show with no future. Nicolas Cage reacted to the cancellation by calling one season perfect. The fans see it differently.

Fans Flood the Show’s Own Victory Post
The official Spider-Noir account posted congratulations to the team on the five wins. The comments turned into a Season 2 rally.
“Literally why was this cancelled,” reads one reply with over 160 likes.
“I don’t understand the logic of companies canceling something that was very successful,” says the top comment.
“Then why cancel season 2?” asks another.
One fan summed up the whole weekend: “deserved another season and apparently the Emmys agreed.”
That was the argument in our op-ed: the audience showed up, the critics showed up, and now the Emmys have made it official — five times.
The Emmy ceremonies continue, and so does the noise. As another commenter put it on Amazon’s own post: “Soooooo, round 2?”
