The same Quorum chart that delivered The Odyssey‘s numbers has a verdict on the rest of the summer, and it confirms what we called weeks ago: Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the movie of the season.
The Quorum’s new eight-week tracking, published by Puck, has Brand New Day at 76 percent awareness and 68 percent interest, with awareness up six points over two weeks and interest still inching up.
That 68 is the highest interest score of any film on the chart, and it isn’t close. Nothing else cracks 52.
For the unfamiliar, The Quorum is a research outfit that polls regular moviegoers on upcoming releases, scoring each film on awareness (have you heard of it?) and interest (do you want to see it?). When both numbers run high weeks out, it’s the survey equivalent of a sure thing.
For where this fits in the full summer picture, see our summer 2026 box office tracking roundup.

The Numbers, in Context
Awareness of 76 nearly four weeks from release puts Brand New Day behind only Moana‘s 80, and Moana opens this Friday.
More telling is what happens after people hear about each film. Moana converts its 80 awareness into 49 percent interest. The Odyssey sits at 50 and 50.
Brand New Day turns 76 into 68, the strongest awareness-to-interest conversion of any tentpole tracked, which is what genuine four-quadrant heat looks like.
The two-chart trajectory backs it up. The previous Quorum edition had the film at 70 percent awareness, meaning it has added six points a month out with the ticketing marketing push, and that chart’s own analysis said it plainly: Brand New Day is marching toward box office glory with “overwhelming enthusiasm across nearly every demographic.”
That’s the continuation of the trajectory we covered when tracking first crowned it the movie of the summer. The numbers haven’t cooled since. They’ve compounded.

The IMAX Wrinkle
There’s one asterisk on the runway, and it’s wearing a Nolan badge. Per Deadline’s tracking report, The Odyssey holds a three-week exclusive run in IMAX starting July 17, which carries the format through August 6.
Brand New Day opens July 31, meaning the summer’s biggest demand profile spends its entire opening week locked out of premium screens.
For most films that would be a real dent. For this one, the tracking suggests the audience is coming regardless of format, and the premium-format faithful can circle back once the hold lifts.
But it does mean the July 17 to July 31 corridor plays out as a genuine relay: The Odyssey, riding its premiere raves, gets the giant screens and two clear weeks, then hands the summer to the movie the tracking says everyone actually knows about. However, one is getting much more backlash than the other.
Deadline’s report pegged the two films together as the engine of a potential $4.2 billion summer, the best since 2019. On this chart, one of them still has an awareness problem to solve in eleven days. The other one’s only problem is finding enough screens.
