Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day online, ten days ahead of the film’s July 31 opening.
Billed as “Peter’s Journey,” the two-and-a-half-minute trailer debuted exclusively in theaters over the weekend attached to Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, quickly leaked online, and now the official 4K version is here.
The trailer opens as a look back at Tom Holland’s entire run in the suit, with Peter Parker narrating footage from Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home as he explains why everyone had to forget he ever existed.
From there it shifts to the new movie, where MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) have moved on with their lives while Peter watches from a distance.
The new footage includes Spider-Man battling Michael Mando’s Scorpion, back for the first time since his Mac Gargan tease in Homecoming, along with more of the fight against Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.
The trailer also leans into the film’s central mystery, as Peter learns he is the only one who can sense the new villain.
The ending brings the viral marketing full circle: Ned and MJ realize Spider-Man is close using the Spider Tracker right before Spidey drops in, the same tracker at the center of our deep dive into whether Ned is the hidden villain of Brand New Day.
The villain no one can even see
The official synopsis backs up what the trailer is selling.
Peter is fighting crime full time in a world that no longer remembers him following the events of No Way Home, and watching his old friends move on sparks a change in him that he may not be able to control. T
hat transformation, per Sony, might also be the only thing capable of stopping “a powerful villain no one can even see.”

he cast is led by Holland, Zendaya, and Sadie Sink, whose role Sony still refuses to reveal amid long-running rumors she is playing a young Jean Grey. Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo round out the billing, and the film is rated PG-13 for sequences of action/violence and some language.
