It is out. Sparking ZERO New DLC Super Limit-Breaking NEO is live on Steam right now for $34.99, and the Sparking Zero NEO system requirements are the first thing worth checking.
That is the biggest single content drop Sparking! ZERO has ever had, and it costs exactly what the entire first Season Pass did.

The Full Sparking ZERO New DLC System Requirements
Here is the good news for anyone running older hardware.
Minimum, targeting 1080p at 60fps on Low settings: a 64-bit processor and operating system on Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980, AMD Radeon RX 590, or Intel Arc A750, DirectX 12, and 29 GB of available space.
Recommended, targeting 1080p at 60fps on High: Windows 10 or Windows 11, an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64, DirectX 12, and the same 29 GB of space.
Bandai Namco notes framerate may still drop in graphics-intensive scenes even at recommended spec, and that DirectX 12 requires Windows 10 version 1809 or later plus a 4 GB VRAM GPU.
Now About That 29 GB
This is where you should not take the store page literally.
Those numbers are not new. The Sparking Zero NEO system requirements are identical to the base game’s from October 2024, right down to the GTX 980 and the 29 GB.
Steam DLC pages inherit the parent game’s requirements, and that is exactly what happened here. Bandai Namco has not published a download size for the NEO DLC itself.
So do not read 29 GB as the DLC’s footprint, and do not read it as your total either. Player-measured installs of the fully patched game were already running closer to 38 GB on PC before this expansion. Clear more headroom than the store page suggests.
What the unchanged Sparking Zero NEO system requirements do tell you is genuinely good news. A 33-fighter expansion with four new stages and an entirely new mode is not raising the hardware bar. If you were running Sparking! ZERO yesterday, you are running NEO today.

You Still Need The Base Game, Of Course
Worth stating plainly, because the Steam listing says it outright, and because the Sparking Zero NEO system requirements are listed as if this were a full game: it is downloadable content, not a standalone release. It requires DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO on the same platform to play.
That matters for anyone arriving fresh off the launch trailer. The base game carries a $69.99 list price, though it discounts frequently and has dipped as low as half that during storefront sales.
There is one cheaper door in. Steam is also listing a Super Limit-Breaking NEO Edition that bundles the base game with the DLC, going for $59.99 at launch, which undercuts the base game’s list price on its own.
So a newcomer buying the pieces separately is looking at the base game plus $34.99, not $34.99 flat. Existing owners are the only ones paying the sticker price alone.
What You Are Actually Buying
For $34.99: 33 new fighters, four new stages, four new Episode Battles, additional Extra Battles, more than 20 new customization options, and Limit Breaker Journey, the new solo progression mode where you pick one character and build them across a branching map.
The free update landed separately and applies to everyone, DLC or not, bringing Sparking! Boost, the tag-in Blast follow-up, three new stage variants, and a balance pass that nerfed all nineteen Vegetas at once.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners are still waiting on both a date and a price, which means the Sparking Zero NEO system requirements above are PC-only for now.

The Resurrection Is Live
Seventeen years passed between Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Sparking! ZERO.
Now the game has 241 playable fighters, a proper single-player progression mode, a brand new opening, and a publisher treating a DLC drop like a relaunch.
Cosmic Book News is genuinely excited to be here for this one. This is the closest the series has come to a true resurrection of Budokai Tenkaichi since 2007, and after almost two decades of fans asking for exactly this, it is finally sitting on a storefront.
So the only question left is whether it lives up to the hype.
We are about to find out, and we will report back. The early Steam review split is already telling part of that story. Tell us in the comments whether you have pulled the trigger yet, and whether your rig cleared the Sparking Zero NEO system requirements without a fight.
Super Limit-Breaking NEO is available now for $34.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
