So That Fantastic Four Reboot Plot Synopsis Is True?

Earlier this morning Cosmic Book News received an e-mail from the Fox Studios lawyers asking us to take down the Fantastic Four plot synopsis that was featured on a casting call website.

The synopsis mentioned how Reed Richards and Ben Grimm were friends who ended up becoming weapons of the government before meeting Sue and Johnny Storm. It was also hinted that Reed Richards gained his genius from whatever gives him his powers.

The only problem is that director Josh Trank stated it wasn’t true.

Obviously you can see the issue here: If it wasn’t true, why would Fox Studios ask it to be taken down?

I e-mailed Fox inquiring just that, but have yet to receive a reply.

I also guess Trank is known for not exactly being up front on his Twitter as he previously said the Miles Teller possible casting for Reed Richards wasn’t true, but it is.

A similar situation happened with Paramount and Transformers 4 in that a synopsis was seemingly accidently posted, but said to be not true, only to have Paramount request that it be taken down. From the trailers and reports about Transformers 4 that have become known so far, it seems that synopsis is true as well.

Update: Director Josh Trank has once again stated the synopsis isn’t true.

Fantastic Four has a June 19, 2015 release.
